Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a PCU/Telemetry position requiring at least 1 year of experience and a current FL or compact RN license.
Responsibilities
- Work in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) within a hospital setting
- Patient ratio is 1:5
- Day shifts are 3x12 hours, from 7:00 to 19:00
- Every other weekend required or approximately 6 weekend shifts per 6-week period, based on unit needs
- No on-call responsibilities
- Floating required to other units or locations within the same health system
- Must have experience with Epic EMR
- Flu vaccination required between October 31 and March 31, with medical or religious exemptions permitted
- Free parking with decal provided at orientation
- Scrubs in any solid color are allowed, but tops and bottoms must match with no logos or prints
- Former staff or contracted travelers must wait at least 1 year after leaving an internal contract position before returning
- All time off requests must be disclosed at the time of application
- Locals accepted at the same rate as travelers
Requirements
- Active Florida or compact RN license required at time of consideration
- At least 1 year of PCU or telemetry nursing experience required
- Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
- Epic EMR experience required
- First-time travelers not accepted
- Must submit two professional references from a manager, supervisor, charge nurse, or director within the last year
