We are seeking a dedicated Nurse Practitioner Occupational Health to join our team. This provider will be responsible for pre-employment screenings, treatment of work-related injuries and exposures, fitness-for-duty evaluations, and routine employee health assessments. As the sole provider in this setting, the ideal candidate must be confident working independently and delivering high-quality, comprehensive occupational health care.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:- Provide direct care, assessment, treatment, and follow-up for occupational health patients
- Conduct physical exams and administer preventive health services
- Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests and labs
- Develop and implement patient care plans based on clinical findings
- Maintain accurate documentation and facilitate interdisciplinary communication
- Educate patients and employees on wellness, prevention, and health maintenance
- Identify and help patients utilize community health resources
- Participate in quality improvement and clinical research activities
Must-Haves:
- Active Nurse Practitioner License (NP)
- BLS and ACLS certifications
- Registered with the State of Massachusetts and DEA for prescribing privileges
- Certified by the ANCC or equivalent credentialing organization
- Must be comfortable functioning as the only provider in the occupational health setting
- Minimum of 3 years of current nursing experience and 2 years in adult practice
- Need experience in Urgent Care, Sports Medicine, or Emergency, Or Occupational Health
Nice-To-Haves:
- Familiarity with OSHA regulations and workplace safety programs
- Background in education, staff training, or patient resource development
- Experience participating in quality improvement initiatives or clinical research
