This position seeks a Hematology/Oncology Physician to provide both inpatient and outpatient care, managing a range of cancer and hematologic disorders. The role includes shared call duties, access to a multidisciplinary team, and involves diagnostic and therapeutic procedures such as chemotherapy administration and bone marrow biopsies. Seeking a Hematology/Oncology Physician Outpatient and inpatient role Standard office hours (Mon-Fri / 8am-5pm) Protected administrative time (8+ hours per week) Call Schedule: Shared call schedule, approximately 1:4 rotation for patient care needs through telephone calls also supported by after-hours nurse triage. Support Staff: The physician will have access to a dedicated nurse, APPs, and a specialized oncology nursing team 4 Physicians and 3 APPs currently Cerner EMR Average Patient Volume: 15-20 patients per day Patient Census: Primarily adult patients with a wide range of cancers and hematologic disorders, from early-stage to advanced. Demographics: A mix of rural and suburban patients, many with complex care needs. 40% Oncology and 60% Hematology Visit types: Initial cancer diagnosis, treatment planning, chemotherapy follow-ups, and management of hematologic conditions like anemia and clotting disorders. Procedures: Bone marrow biopsies, port insertions, chemotherapy administration, and oversight of clinical trials. Sign-on Bonus: $50k+ sign-on bonus to assist with the transition. Clinic/Facility: 10-chair infusion center, onsite lab and pharmacy, two additional infusion centers on campus (1 general/1 rheumatology) Imaging/Diagnostics: PET scanning, 64-slice CT, 3-D mammography, breast MRI, high-definition endoscopy/bronchoscopy Tumor Boards: Bi-weekly for breast, PCC, GI, and ENT Competitive Compensation: Guaranteed base salary (typically MGMA median) + WRVU bonuses - Base Compensation: 700k+ (flexible/negotiable) + Bonus Potential Comprehensive Benefits: Health, dental, & vision; supplemental insurance options (short/long-term disability, accidental, cancer, life); retirement plans with employer match Student Loan Repayment: Eligible for loan repayment assistance through the PSLF program, helping to manage and reduce student debt CME Allowances: 5 days off a year / $3k a year + cover costs of licenses, dues, etc. Malpractice Insurance/Tail Coverage: Coverage provided by facility Work-Life Balance: Flexible scheduling and ample paid time off to ensure a healthy work-life balance (24 Days PTO)
