Job Description

As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol in Fairfax, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents by conducting regular patrols throughout a healthcare location. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare environment.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining a professional presence as an armed patrol officer.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
• Monitor for and report any security-related concerns or hazards observed during patrols, following established protocols.
• Collaborate with staff and visitors to address questions or concerns related to security-related matters, while maintaining a courteous and approachable demeanor.
• Support access control procedures by observing entry and exit points and verifying credentials as required.
• Document and communicate incidents, observations, and actions taken in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific guidelines.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• An armed guard card or license is required.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
