Gastroenterology Locums in Massachusetts - 1 Week per Month Blocks
Inpatient GI assignment in Massachusetts offering monthly block scheduling with required procedures and full support staff.
Highlights
- Only 1 week/month; block scheduling with built-in time off
- 24-hour call for the week; carry a beeper overnight
- Inpatient-only; no outpatient or clinic duties
Practice Setting
- Acute adult hospital setting
- Floor, ED, and ICU consults
- Onsite lab and x-ray support
- EPIC EMR
Schedule
- Call block: Friday 4 PM to Friday 4 PM
- 24-hour coverage, approx. 1:4 call structure
- December start, ongoing monthly assignments available
Cases and Procedures
- General GI: EGD, colonoscopy, sigmoidoscopy, small bowel biopsy
- Required: liver biopsy, esophageal manometry/dilatation
- ERCP/EUS not required
Requirements
- Board Certified or Eligible in Gastroenterology
- Active Massachusetts license required
- BLS certification
