Job Title

- Full-time, Night shifts, 4 shifts per week, 12 hours per shift
Key Responsibilities
- Provide patient care in IMC, PCU, and stepdown units, ensuring safety and compliance with standards
- Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms and respond to emergency situations as needed
- Manage complex medical cases including post-cardiac procedures, neurological trauma, and orthopedic surgeries
- Perform advanced IV therapy, port access, and medication administration, including vasoactive and cardiac drips
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive patient care and facilitate recovery.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Illinois RN license
- Minimum 1 year of recent experience in a similar high-acuity setting (IMC, PCU, or Stepdown)
- Current BLS and NIH certifications; ACLS preferred
- Proficiency in telemetry interpretation and emergency response protocols
- Ability to manage complex cardiovascular, neurological, and respiratory cases
- Competency in advanced IV therapy, med management, and hemodynamic monitoring
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with Cerner electronic charting systems
- Previous work in a Level I trauma or teaching hospital setting
- Familiarity with neuro, ortho, or cardiac surgical cases
- Capable of floating within scope to meet facility needs.
