In this role, you will serve as the primary provider for urgent care patients, managing a wide spectrum of cases for both adults and children (6 months and older). Your expertise will help ensure timely, effective treatment for patients experiencing urgent health issues. The position involves autonomous clinical decision-making, performing minor procedures such as Incision & Drainage, Lac Repair, Ear Irrigation, among others. You will utilize Epic EMR for charting, with support from a dedicated training schedule to ensure seamless workflow.
Candidates must possess at least 12 months of relevant experience in primary and urgent care environments, with current board certifications (Board Certified PA, Family Nurse Practitioner Certification, or Nurse Practitioner Certification). Proficiency in EPIC is required, along with BLS certification. The ability to see and treat all patients as the sole provider in the center, combined with excellent soft skills for effective communication with staff and patients, is essential.
Ideal candidates will also have strong clinical skills, familiarity with pediatric and adult urgent care cases, and comfort managing up to 40 patient encounters per day. Offsite supervising physicians will provide oversight for APPs, with no supervision required during shifts. Candidates should be prepared for a clinical interview and EMR training prior to starting.
Preferred candidates will have a minimum of 12 months of experience in urgent care or primary care settings, along with the capability to support multiple locations within a 65-mile radius of their residence. Local travel and mileage reimbursement only; no travel or lodging support is available.
