Travel Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical Surgical (Nights)

HumanEdge Health is seeking an experienced Medical-Surgical RN for a travel assignment in Roswell, New Mexico. This night-shift role provides care for adult med-surg patients with occasional step-down or ICU overflow assignments.

Assignment Details

• Location: Roswell, NM

• Assignment Length: 13 weeks

• Start Date: January 19, 2026

• Shift: Nights

• Shift Times: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM

• Schedule: Every other week (EOW)

• Floating: Required as needed, but rarely; may occasionally float to ICU for med-surg overflow or step-down patients

• On Call: None

Unit Overview

• Med-Surg unit with occasional step-down/ICU overflow

• Patient ratios: 1:6 (sometimes 1:7)

• EMR: Cerner

• Telemetry system: Mindray

Requirements

• Experience: Minimum 1+ year Med-Surg nursing experience

• License: Active RN license required

• Certifications:

• BLS required

• ACLS preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to med-surg and step-down patients

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to ensure safe, efficient patient care

• Float to other units as needed (rarely)

• Accurately document care in Cerner EMR

This assignment is ideal for a Med-Surg RN seeking a night-shift travel opportunity with occasional floating, no on-call requirements, and exposure to adult med-surg and step-down patients.
