Job Description
American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist with at least 1 year of recent home care experience and a current Massachusetts PT license for a float position in the South Region.
Responsibilities
- Home health setting providing services in patients' residences across Dorchester, Jamaica Plain, Mission Hill, and Roxbury
- Float position with assignments as scheduled within the South Region
- Cares for patients of all ages from infants to seniors over 100
- Uses EPIC for charting and documentation
- Shift is 8:00am to 4:30pm
- Weekend rotation required once every 6 weeks
- Ability to travel to patient cases as assigned
- Responsible for providing physical therapy assessments and interventions to patients in their home
- Collaborate with patients, families, physicians, and other allied health professionals to coordinate care
- Timely and thorough electronic documentation according to agency policies
- No validated parking; public transportation and paid parking options available with typical daily rates between $17-$22
- Local candidates must live at least 60 miles from Massachusetts General Hospital; rates differ for local travelers
- Team-based approach with interdisciplinary collaboration
- First-time travelers will be considered if all requirements are met
- Must adhere to agency standards of practice and communication protocols
Requirements
- Active Physical Therapist license in Massachusetts required; MA conditional licenses not accepted
- Minimum 1 year of recent home care physical therapy experience required
- BLS certification from AHA required
- Experience with EPIC charting system preferred
- Must have reliable transportation for travel between patient locations
- Flu vaccination required with no exemptions permitted
- License required if applicable
