The position is for a full-time Anesthesiologist with Critical Care fellowship training to work at a Level 2 Trauma Center in Jackson, Michigan, providing ICU and surgical anesthesia services. Responsibilities include managing complex post-operative patients, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, and participating in teaching and care coordination. Candidates must be board certified or eligible in Anesthesiology with appropriate licensure and certifications, and will engage in high-acuity care within a supportive clinical environment.
We are excited to announce an opportunity for a full-time Anesthesiologist with Critical Care fellowship training to join our dedicated ICU and surgical team at a Level 2 Trauma Center located in Jackson, Michigan. Job Responsibilities:- Provide 8 12 weeks per year of service in the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU), including home call coverage.
- Oversee a growing team of Advanced Practice Providers managing complex post-operative patients.
- Deliver comprehensive anesthesia services during non-ICU weeks, including general operating room coverage and obstetric anesthesia.
- Share OR call duties proportionately based on ICU coverage.
- Collaborate with an experienced, multidisciplinary team in a Level 2 Trauma Center setting.
- Participate in clinical decision-making, protocol development, and care coordination.
- Engage in teaching and mentoring opportunities with residents and Advanced Practice Providers.
- Utilize Epic EMR for seamless and integrated patient documentation.
- Join a collaborative and innovative department focused on clinical excellence, patient safety, and continuous improvement.
- Must be available to start ASAP.
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Anesthesiology.
- Fellowship trained in Critical Care Medicine.
- Experience in diverse anesthesia practices including obstetrics and pediatrics.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Strong clinical decision-making skills.
- Michigan Medical License (or willingness to obtain).
- BLS, ACLS, PALS certifications (or willing to obtain prior to start date).
- DEA registration (to be obtained prior to start).
- Current COVID and flu vaccinations.
- Clean malpractice and license history.
- Copy of most recent NPDB report.
