This position involves providing direct patient care and emergency medical services within a correctional facility under physician or nurse supervision during night shifts. The paramedic must maintain accurate clinical documentation, comply with healthcare policies, and uphold patient safety and confidentiality. Certification as an EMT-Paramedic with BLS and ACLS credentials and at least one year of experience are required.

Summary:
Performs direct patient care duties under the direction of a Physician, Advanced Provider and/or as directed by the charge nurse. Performs administrative, clerical, and clinical duties as assigned. Complies with the policies and procedures of The MetroHealth System. Maintains patient safety and patient confidentiality at all times. Maintains accurate and timely documentation of care that reflects the patient's condition, treatment, and response to care. Upholds the mission, vision, values, and customer service standards of The MetroHealth System.
Qualifications:
Qualifications: Required: High school diploma or passage of a high school equivalency exam. Current certification by the State of Ohio as an EMT-Paramedic. Minimum one year of experience as a Paramedic. Current certification in BLS from the AHA and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS). Preferred: None Physical Requirements: May sit, stand, stoop, bend, and ambulate intermittently during the day. May need to sit or stand for extended periods. See in the normal visual range with or without correction. Hear in the normal audio range with or without correction. Ability to lift 250-300 pounds with assistance. Ability to push/pull up to 500 pounds with assistance. Requires some exposure to communicable diseases or body fluids. Requires some exposure to chemicals and cleaning products.
