Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Progressive Care Unit night shift position in Michigan requiring MI license, BSN, and strong cardiac skills.
Responsibilities
- Position is located on an inpatient Progressive Care Unit floor
- Cares for patients requiring cardiac monitoring, including post-procedural cardiac patients
- Experience with cardiac progressive drips and dressing changes required
- Night shifts from 7:00 pm to 7:30 am, three 12-hour shifts per week
- Every other weekend and some holiday rotation required
- No blocked scheduling permitted
- Floating to a nearby sister hospital may be required
- Online modules must be completed onsite prior to start, typically 1 week before assignment
- Responsibilities include assessment, care planning, supervision, and documentation of patient care
- Must complete and pass required online modules prior to assignment start
- Teamwork and leadership are expected in coordinating patient care
- Must report to lab for drug screening within 24 hours of assignment commitment
- Be aware that background check and drug screening results can take up to 2 weeks to process
Requirements
- Active MI RN license required
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing and BSN required
- Minimum 2 years of recent progressive care experience
- Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Strong clinical knowledge and analytical skills to formulate care plans
- Excellent communication skills with patients, families, and healthcare team
- COVID-19 vaccination is required
