This locum tenens opportunity is for a Board Certified Family Practice Physician to provide outpatient care in a supportive coastal Washington community. The physician will manage a diverse patient population, including migrants and refugees, delivering comprehensive family medicine services and coordinating care with a multidisciplinary team. The role requires in-person patient care experience, relevant certifications, and a commitment to serving vulnerable populations on a temporary contract basis.
Locum Tenens Family Practice Physician in Washington Location: near Ilwaco, WAStart Date: August or as soon as credentialedContract Length: 3 months (with potential to extend)Schedule: Monday Friday, 8:00 AM 5:00 PM (8-hour shifts, 1-hour unpaid lunch)Patient Volume: 21 patients per dayDemographics: Newborns to geriatrics Position Summary: We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Family Practice Physician to join our collaborative care team in the coastal community of Washington. This locum tenens role focuses on delivering high-quality, full-spectrum outpatient care to a diverse population, including migrants and refugees, in a supportive community health environment. Key Responsibilities: Deliver outpatient family medicine and chronic disease management Perform basic in-clinic procedures (e.g., injections, IUD placement, minor wound care) Collaborate with a dedicated care team: MA, front desk staff, mental health therapists, dietitians, and a pediatrician Document and coordinate care using EPIC EMR Complete a 1-week orientation; begin seeing patients by Day 3 Required Qualifications: Board Certified in Family Practice Washington State medical license & active DEA Minimum 2 years of recent, in-person patient care experience Clean malpractice history Current BLS and ACLS certifications COVID-19 and flu vaccination required This position is ideal for a compassionate physician passionate about serving vulnerable communities in a supportive and collaborative environment.
