Job Title: Locum - Physician - General Medicine
Join a dedicated practice providing essential support to our nation's Veterans! This opportunity involves performing Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments in beautiful Houston, Maine. Working with Veterans Evaluation Services (VES), you will offer critical services that are vital to those who have served our country. This role allows for flexible scheduling, including half-day or full-day shifts in your own office, making it an ideal fit for those prioritizing work-life balance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct Compensation & Pension (C&P) exams and Separation Health Assessments.
- Perform primarily interview-based examinations with some physical assessments, such as range of motion and muscle strength testing.
- Engage with Veterans in a professional setting, ensuring a supportive and respectful environment.
- Complete required reports documenting exam findings.
- Option to work on a per diem basis, with the ability to determine shifts according to personal preference.
- Collaborate with VES to facilitate quick credentialing and onboarding processes.
Qualifications:
- Proficient in METs testing and assessing respiratory and cardiovascular conditions.
- Ownership of a laptop (Windows only).
- AANP certification is required.
- Must possess an active and unrestricted medical license.
- Willingness to complete DMA training for certification.
- Experience in family medicine, internal medicine, or general medicine preferred.
License and Certification Requirements:
- Active medical license with no restrictions.
- AANP certification is mandatory.
- Completion of DMA training will be required prior to working.
