About the FacilityA hospital is seeking a gynecological oncologist for locum tenens coverage.

About the Clinician's WorkdayThis locum position is for a board-certified or truly board-eligible physician, preferably a GYN/Oncologist with at least a few years post-fellowship experience. The patient population is adults, and both BLS and ACLS certifications are required. Coverage is needed from April 2-20, 2026, with shifts typically coming off call at 8:30 AM. The setting is inpatient, with consults initially directed to PAs. The physician will handle 24-hour GYN Onc call, rounding on 3-5 post-op patients on weekdays as needed, signing chemotherapy orders, writing prescriptions, and performing required procedures such as robotic surgeries, minimally invasive procedures, and inpatient chemotherapy. Weekend rounding is minimal, generally only for surgical emergencies, and weekend call is required. The average number of new consults per week is 1-2. Providers will admit patients as needed. The support team includes one other provider and two APs. Privileging typically takes 30-60 days, and case logs are required. The facility can license the right candidate, and multiple providers may be accepted, with a minimum commitment of one week per month.
