Job Details:

• Work 3x12 hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM with holiday rotation
• Patient ratio of 1:6
• 4 weekend shifts required per 4 weeks
• Float within scope to meet facility needs and between like units
• 1 year of nursing experience required
• South Carolina or Multi State/Compact RN license required
• BLS certification required
• First-time travelers accepted
• Guaranteed hours with facility allowed to call off 1 shift per 2 weeks
• Block schedule accommodations possible with manager approval dependent on unit needs
• Dress code: Solid Royal Blue or White top with Royal blue bottoms for all RNs
• EPIC charting system
• $20 parking registration fee for hang tag to use the garage
• Skills required include isolation precautions, med/surg, nasal cannula, non-invasive airway management, oxygen administration, peripheral line care/management, starting and maintaining IVs, and use of rapid response/code teams
• Care for patients with multiple GI diagnoses and complex nursing care requirements including bariatric and autologous islet cell programs
• Patients are 17 years of age or greater
• During hurricane season (June-November), all employees and contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams

This healthcare facility is a Level I Trauma Center, teaching facility, and Magnet Hospital with 820 total staffed beds. The Digestive Disease Inpatient Units are 21-bed general medical/surgical units that provide specialized care using a modified modular nursing model to enhance teamwork. The facility serves patients with complex GI diagnoses and operates specialized programs including bariatric and autologous islet cell transplant services. Primary medical services include luminal service, hepatology service, and GI surgery service with divisions in pancreobiliary, bariatric, and surgical oncology.
