Job Details:

• Work in ICU setting at small rural hospital
• Maintain professional image and exhibit excellent customer relations to patients, visitors, physicians, and co-workers
• Assess patient needs based on data collected through history, observation, physical examination, and analysis
• Provide appropriate nursing interventions consistent with Plan of Care and standard of practice
• Conduct hourly rounds utilizing the 4 P's
• Foster environment demonstrating caring, compassion, and respect for patients, families, and visitors
• Utilize appropriate health and safety equipment to protect patients and staff
• Follow standard work protocols for central lines, chest tubes, foley and suprapubic catheters, pressure ulcers, restraints and high fall risk patients
• Precept and mentor novice employees
• Participate in Evidence Based Practices and hospital-system initiatives
• Demonstrate continued professional growth through goal setting and educational participation
• Understand appropriate storage and safety of medications including large volume IVs, saline, and pre-packaged medication kits
• Required certifications: BLS and ACLS
