Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Long Term Acute Care (LTAC) position requiring a current NC or compact license and weekend rotations.

Responsibilities

• Work in a Long Term Acute Care (LTAC) hospital setting
• Cares for LTAC and Med/Surg Telemetry patient populations
• Night shifts (3x12 hours), 19:00–07:00
• Every other weekend is required
• Floating within scope and between like units is required
• Uses Epic for charting
• Scrub color is royal blue and white
• Return staff policy requires a one-year gap before returning as a traveler
• Two-contract maximum before a mandatory six-month break is required
• Weekend and holiday coverage may be required as per facility scheduling
• RTO is at manager’s discretion

Requirements

• Active NC or compact RN license required prior to consideration
• No first-time travelers accepted
• At least one year separation required for return staff to be considered as travelers
• Candidates must live more than 50 miles from the facility
• Previous travel assignments with this system limited to two contracts; must wait six months to return after maximum
