Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced ICU RN with a TX or compact license and AHA BLS and ACLS certifications for a night shift assignment.
Responsibilities
- Position is based in a 21-bed Medical Surgical ICU
- Night shift from 18:45 to 07:15, 36 hours per week
- 13-week assignment
- Cares for a variety of critically ill adult patients
- May require weekend and holiday shifts as needed
- Strong critical thinking, communication, and teamwork skills required
- Ability to remain calm and focused in high-stress situations is essential
- Must adhere to dress code and professional standards
- All candidates may be required to work weekends and holidays as necessary
- Local candidates are accepted, but will receive a reduced pay rate based on facility radius rules
- Travelers may only accept one travel contract within the health system at a time
Requirements
- Active TX or compact RN license in hand
- Minimum 2 years of recent ICU or critical care nursing experience
- Current American Heart Association BLS and ACLS certifications required
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required
- Must provide Nursys verification within 30 days prior to start
- Must have a US Social Security Number and US address
