This role is for a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) working night shifts in an Emergency Department providing patient care under RN supervision. The position requires maintaining patient confidentiality, coordinating care, and meeting state licensure and certification requirements such as BLS and ACLS. The job involves physical demands like lifting and prolonged standing and offers benefits including medical coverage, tuition support, and retirement plans.
Qualifications:
LPN:
Education : Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program; Consideration will be given for comparable education experience and successful licensure.
Licensure : Is personally responsible for obtaining and maintaining a current LPN license within the hiring state in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all State Board of Nursing requirements.
Physical Requirements/Demands : Position requires the ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs. on a regular basis. Position requires prolonged standing and walking during each shift. Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
Experience : Experience preferred but not required.
Certifications : Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire. Other unit specific certifications as required.
Paramedic Qualifications:
Education : High School Diploma or GED.
Licensure : Paramedic (EMT-P) license for the state of practice, Valid driving license. ITLS or equivalent training preferred.
Experience : Background in Emergency Services preferred.
Applicants must be at least 19 years of age.
Certifications/Registration: Hazmat awareness level training, ACLS at hire, PALS within 6 months of hire/transfer.
