Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med Surg/Telemetry PCU night shift position requiring a NH or compact license and strong cardiac monitoring experience.

Responsibilities

• Work in a small, rural Med Surg/Telemetry and Progressive Care Unit setting
• Patient population ranges from newborn to geriatric
• RN to patient ratios are typically 5:1, with higher acuity PCU patients at 3:1 or 4:1
• 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, 36 hours per week
• Every other weekend and holiday coverage are required
• No on-call responsibilities
• RN is expected to work one of the specified holiday sets (Christmas Eve/Day and following weekend, or New Year’s Eve/Day and following weekend)
• Facility will not consider extensions for contracts ending prior to or during the December holiday period
• Maximum of 5 days off may be requested for a 13-week assignment, all time off must be requested at time of consideration
• Personal scrubs of any color are permitted
• No orientation is provided for this assignment
• Scheduling accommodations or block scheduling requests will not be approved

Requirements

• Active New Hampshire or Compact RN license must be in hand at time of consideration
• Current BLS and ACLS (AHA) certifications are required
• Minimum 3 years of recent PCU, Med/Surg, and Telemetry experience required
• Demonstrated cardiac monitoring and tele experience required
• Must pass a basic dysrhythmia test
• Previous travel and rural/small facility experience highly preferred
• Must be able to work independently and adapt quickly
• Personal vehicle required for assignment
• Candidates must live at least 50 miles from the facility
