We are seeking a board-certified or board-eligible General Surgeon licensed in Missouri for a 90-day locum tenens assignment. This opportunity begins on Mar 23, 2026, and features 24-hour call shifts from 8am to 8am, with weekend and possible occasional weekday coverage. The surgeon will provide a broad range of adult, pediatric, and trauma procedures in a trauma facility utilizing the Epic EMR system.

Responsibilities and Duties
- Perform general surgery for adult, pediatric, neonate, and trauma patients
- Conduct laparoscopic procedures including appendectomy, cholecystectomy, hernioplasty, and Nissen fundoplication
- Provide head and neck surgery, chest wall and pleural procedures, and breast surgery
- Manage obstetric and gynecologic surgery as required
- Conduct liver surgery and gastrointestinal endoscopy
- Handle minor orthopedic and hand surgery cases
- Manage ventilation, chest tube insertion, and central line insertion
- Place PA catheters and perform vascular surgery
- Provide plastic and pediatric surgery procedures
Additional Information
- Missouri medical license required
- Board certification or eligibility in General Surgery required
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications required
- Experience with Epic EMR preferred
