We are seeking an experienced Urgent Care Physician Assistant for a locum tenens position in North Carolina. This assignment begins on Dec 16, 2025, spans 70 days, and features 12-hour weekday shifts and shorter weekend shifts on a rotating full-time schedule. The provider will work autonomously alongside a medical assistant and front desk, delivering care to a high patient volume in a dynamic urgent care setting.

• Provider Type Needed: Urgent Care Physician Assistant
• Schedule: Full-time, 36/40 rotation; must be able to float between nearby clinics; weekdays 8am-8pm, weekends 8am-4pm; every other weekend required
• Example Week 1: Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday, Sunday
• Example Week 2: Monday, Thursday, Friday

Responsibilities and Duties

• Deliver urgent care services autonomously for a diverse patient population
• Manage high patient volumes, seeing 40+ patients per shift
• Collaborate with a medical assistant and front desk staff in a streamlined clinical model
• Provide clinical assessments, diagnosis, and treatment within scope of urgent care practice
• Maintain accurate documentation and uphold quality standards of patient care
• Float between relatively close clinic locations as needed

Additional Information

• Must be able to work independently; new graduates will not be considered
• Valid and unrestricted North Carolina PA license required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) certifications required
• DOT certification is a plus
• Prior urgent care experience preferred
