Practice Focus: We specialize in Primary Care with a focus on Internal Medicine, serving adult patients exclusively. Our team currently includes five internal medicine physicians and two nurse practitioners, with plans for continued expansion.
Scope of Services:
Management of chronic diseases and acute illnesses
Emphasis on preventive care and evidence-based protocols
Position Summary: We are seeking a board-certified Internal Medicine Physician (MD only) for a full-time role. This position supports a team of seven providers and will expand as the practice grows. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in medical knowledge, be highly proficient in lab, diagnostic, and radiology interpretation, and capable of developing clinical workflows for efficient patient management. The role involves mostly non-direct patient care with some limited direct care responsibilities. It can be performed remotely or in-office with flexible hours as long as daily tasks are completed on time. Weekend office closures are standard; however, the physician is expected to attend to any urgent results if needed on weekends.
Key Responsibilities:
Review and interpret lab, diagnostic, and radiology results
Document interpretation and communicate results via the patient portal
Follow up with patients by phone as needed
Respond to patient inquiries regarding labs and other clinical concerns
Manage appropriate medication refills
Develop and update EMR order sets and templates to enhance workflow efficiency
Create and implement standardized follow-up workflows for abnormal results
Support and lead clinical operations and team coordination
Stay current with EMR systems and leverage new technologies, including AI, in practice
Qualifications:
MD with Board Certification in Internal Medicine
Active Georgia medical license (or ability to obtain)
Minimum 3 years of experience in outpatient internal medicine preferred
Deep clinical knowledge and strong interpretation skills
EMR-savvy and adaptive to technological advancements
Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills
Schedule & Operational Details:
Full-time: 4.5-day workweek, Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Flexible hours as long as daily responsibilities are completed
Remote or in-office work options available
Office closed on weekends and major holidays, with expectation to handle urgent result follow-ups if necessary
Minimal on-call responsibilities (phone only)
