American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Telemetry position in a resource float pool, requiring flexibility to work in multiple units and BLS, ACLS, plus dysrhythmia testing.
Responsibilities- Position is part of the hospital resource staff pool with true float responsibilities
- Cares for patients on Telemetry, Progressive Care, Medical/Oncology, Surgical M/S, and ER hold units
- 12-hour night shifts, 7 p.m. to 7 a.m., 36 hours per week
- Assignment duration is 13 weeks
- Uses Cerner EMR (experience preferred)
- No local candidates accepted
- Own vehicle is recommended due to limited public transportation
- Will float among multiple hospital units as needed based on staffing requirements
- Orientation is provided on a biweekly basis
- Schedule requests are subject to manager approval
- Travelers must not have a local permanent address
- Must be able to explain or account for employment gaps over 30 days
- Encouraged to have reliable personal transportation due to inaccessible public transit
- Active VT or compact RN license (must be applied for upon acceptance if not already held)
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Must pass dysrhythmia testing
- Must be comfortable floating to PCU, MS, and ED hold units
- Tele, MS, PCU, and emergency department hold experience preferred
- Cerner EMR experience preferred
