American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring a MO or compact RN license, night shifts, and Level 1 trauma experience.
Responsibilities- Position is in the Emergency Department of a Level 1 trauma center
- Patient population includes trauma, stroke, STEMI, and pediatric cases
- Night shift schedule is 3x12 hours from 19:15 to 06:45
- Includes work every other weekend and coverage for at least half of the contract holidays
- Floating is required between the main ED and ED Observation unit
- Cerner EMR used, experience preferred
- Provide emergency care to diverse patient populations including adults and children in a high-acuity environment
- Work as part of a multidisciplinary team in a busy, fast-paced setting
- First-time travelers accepted if Level 1 trauma experience is documented
- Must be able to complete the entirety of the assigned shifts, including weekends and at least 50% of holidays
- There is a 75-mile radius rule; local candidates are allowed at a reduced rate
- Active MO or compact RN license in hand at time of consideration
- Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, and PALS are required
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience and at least 1 year of Emergency Department experience
- Level 1 trauma experience required for first-time travelers
- CPI certification preferred; can be obtained onsite if not already held
