Overview:

We partner with regulated organizations seeking a senior AML leader to oversee and strengthen enterprise-wide anti–money laundering (AML), Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), and OFAC sanctions compliance programs. This role supports high-impact regulatory initiatives and works closely with compliance leadership, legal, audit, and risk stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and oversee AML, BSA, and OFAC compliance programs across the organization
  • Manage and enhance transaction monitoring, sanctions screening, and escalation frameworks
  • Oversee SAR governance, filings, and regulatory communications
  • Support and respond to regulatory exams, audits, and enforcement actions
  • Drive remediation efforts, issue management, and corrective action plans
  • Develop, review, and update AML/BSA/OFAC policies, procedures, and controls
  • Partner with Legal, Risk, Audit, and Operations on compliance initiatives
  • Provide guidance to compliance teams and senior stakeholders on regulatory expectations

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree or relevant certifications (CAMS, CFE, CRCM) strongly preferred
  • 8–12+ years of experience in AML, BSA, and/or OFAC compliance
  • Prior experience in a leadership or program oversight role
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. regulatory frameworks and enforcement expectations
  • Experience supporting regulatory exams, audits, and remediation initiatives
  • Background in financial services, banking, fintech, insurance, or other highly regulated environments
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills

Compensation:

  • $180,000–$230,000 base salary + bonus potential, depending on experience and market
