Anesthesiology Physicians provide medical direction and supervision for CRNAs in hospital settings, managing patient care for deliveries and various anesthesia services. They are involved in teaching and supervising medical residents and students, as well as participating in faculty development and scholarly activities. The role supports a growing hospital-employed practice with a focus on outpatient and inpatient anesthesia care.
We are currently interviewing for a fifth MDA due to increase case load in growing hospital employed practice. The group provides medical direction for all employed CRNAs.
The Medical Center has 300 deliveries/year and a nearby Hospital has 150 deliveries/year; no open heart or intracranial procedures. Outpatient pain management is provided by another specialty group.
Responsibilities include teaching and supervision of residents in outpatient and inpatient settings, resident advising, medical student teaching, faculty development, scholarly activity, committee participation and curriculum formation. We will consider newly graduating residents as well.
