OR license not required at time of submittal **The facility is willing to request a 90 Day Emergency License** PACU - floating into Pre-op Pre-op & PACU: Nurses will be expected to rotate between pre-op & PACU at MMC and the Recovery phase for the ORSC. # of beds 6 OR’s and 4 Endo suites total MMC Preop: 8 MMC PACU: 4 ORSC Recover: 10 # of cases per day MMC 5 - 10 ORSC 15-30 Phase 1 and Phase 2? yes nurses need to have phase 1 and 2 Nurse:Patient Ratios Pre-op: 1:2 PACU: 1:1, 1:3 Recovery: 1:2, 1:3 Required Certifications (i.e., BLS, ACLS?) BLS, ACLS PALS preferred Common Cases General, GYN, Ortho & sports medicine, Hand Specialist, Podiatry, Eyes, ENT, & Endo Experience or 'Must have' skills Must have experience with Meditech EMR MMC: Meditech ORSC: Mix of Meditech and Paper Charting Is there a manager/Charge Nurse on each shift? Does the charge nurse take an assignment? Manger over the entire area, and then OR and Preop/Pacu each have a charge nurse Are there nurse aids on this unit/Ratios there are MA that support the nursing staff with patient admission and discharge. RT Equipment (vents, Cpap, BiPap, etc) ICU patients - do they recover in PACU? RNs read strips? Yes, not monitor techs, must be able to read and interpret rhythms and respond appropriately to life threatening rhythms Shifts & Scheduling (Do you allow self-scheduling? Block scheduling?) 5- 8 hours shifts with varied start times, Open from 0600-1800 M-F Schedule made by manager/scheduler, travelers are asked to be flexible and help fill gaps in permanent staffing Weeknight/Call Requirements None Weekend/Call Requirements None Holiday/Call Requirements None What is call response time? NA Floating Requirements Will be asked to float between MMC & ORSC Scrub Color/Dress Code Scrubs provided How many shifts of unit/department specific orientation?
