- Pediatric Outpatient Therapy (required)
- Children's Hospital, Home Health, or Pediatric Rehab (preferred)
Adult Experience- Fluency; mental, behavioral, and neurodevelopmental disorders (required)
- Dysphagia (preferred)
Pediatric Experience- Autism, birth defects, developmental delays, fluency, language disorders; mental, behavioral, and neurodevelopmental disorders (required)
- Bronchopulmonary dysplasia, hearing impairments, sign language, voice disorders (preferred)
Adaptive & Augmentative Communication- Alternative communication devices and communication boards (required)
- Augmentative communication systems (preferred)
Dysphagia Management(preferred)- Bedside swallow evaluations
- Compensatory strategies
- Modified barium swallow studies (conducting and interpreting)
- International Dysphagia Diet standards
- Oral motor techniques and thickening agents
Patient Safety- Recognition of signs and symptoms of physical, sexual, and psychological abuse (required)
Professional Skills- Patient and family education (required)
Assessment & Evaluation Tools- CELF (Clinical Evaluation of Language Fundamentals)
- Non-evaluative screening tools
- PLS-4 (Preschool Language Scale)
- Rossetti Infant-Toddler Language Scale (required)
Billing & Documentation- Assessments, evaluations, reassessments, discharge planning
- Concurrent therapy documentation and treatment
- Medicaid documentation
- Plan of Care development
- SLP evaluation coding (required)
- Point-of-service documentation (preferred)
Certifications & Licensure- BLS
- CCC-SLP
- Active State License
