Middleburg Heights, Ohio Emergency Medicine Physician Locum Tenens

Rhino Medical is leading the charge seeking Board Certified/Board Eligible Emergency Medicine Physicians (ABEM/AOBEM) for a short-term locum assignment in Middleburg Heights, Ohio. This is a high-volume community emergency department with flexible scheduling, multiple shift options, and the support of APPs in a busy, Level III trauma center.

Assignment Highlights

• Coverage Term: Short-term (2–6 months)
• Shifts Available: 15 per month
• Shift Times:
  • Weekdays: 7a–3p, 10a–6p, 1p–7p, 2p–11p, 5p–12a, 11p–7a
  • Weekends: 6:30a–1:30p, 11a–6p, 2p–9p, 6p–12a, 11p–7a
• Staffing Model: Physicians with APC support (supervision required)
• ED Volume: ~48,000 annual visits (~1.9 patients/hour)
• Hospital Beds: 172 | ED Beds: 52
• Trauma Designation: Level III
• EMR: Cerner
• Privileges: Temporary privileges available (30–60 days depending on file)

Candidate Requirements

• Board Certification/Eligibility: ABEM or AOBEM (within 5 years of eligibility if not certified)
• Licensure: Active Ohio license required
• Certifications: ACLS, PALS, ATLS (all must be completed at least once)
• Experience: Minimum of 3 years in Emergency Medicine
• Skills: Full-scope emergency care; comfortable supervising APPs
