Now Hiring: Travel Registered Nurse – Med Surg Float Pool
Location: Watertown, NY
Schedule: 13 Weeks, Night Shift (7p – 730a); Holiday and Weekend shift rotation expected
Important: Must reside 60 or more miles from zip code 13601
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide nursing care across various units, filling staffing gaps by assessing patient needs, administering medications and treatments, and creating and implementing care plans
• Must be able to function well in stressful situations and have good, creative, problem-solving skills.
• Can be floated to any unit within the hospital, except for Psych and ED, unless to manage holds
• Must be flexible and adaptable, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, and documenting patient information
• Patient Ratio is 1:5-6 and common patient diagnosis are: septic, COPD, CHF, post op, general med surg, and post-op plastics
• Required drips and medications: Heparin, mag and k riders
• May be required to assume duties as a charge nurse
Qualifications:
• Active RN NY State license
• Minimum 2+ years of experience required in Med Surg and have completed at least 1 Travel assignment
• Current AHA BLS & ACLS certifications are required
• Meditech experience required
