Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – Ohio nursing jobs preferred
• BLS Certification required prior to first shift
• ACLS Certification required prior to first shift
• Minimum of 1 year of bedside clinical experience required (2 years highly desired)
• Strong communication and teamwork skills

Med/Surg RN Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive nursing assessments within 8 hours of patient admission
• Develop individualized care plans in collaboration with patients, families, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams
• Accurately document assessments, interventions, and patient responses
• Participate actively in patient rehabilitation programs and discharge planning
• Provide direction, training, and supervision to ancillary nursing personnel
• Promote patient and employee safety by adhering to hospital policies and procedures
• Communicate changes in patient status to care team members to ensure continuity of care
• Contribute positively to team building and a supportive healthcare work environment
• Assume charge nurse responsibilities as requested after orientation
• Pursue ongoing professional development and continuing education
