Certified Surgical Tech - 13 Week Contract
Schedule8 hour day shift, from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM. Weekend, call, and holidays required.
Job DescriptionThe Certified Surgical Tech plays an essential role in creating and maintaining a sterile surgical environment. This position involves ensuring that surgical instruments are properly disinfected, operational, and assisting surgeons during various surgical procedures.
Responsibilities- Function under the direct supervision of an RN.
- Assist in the preparation of surgical patients by performing routine & delegated duties.
- Perform technical duties related to scrub personnel efficiently.
- Ensure that the surgical environment remains sterile.
- Respond precisely and efficiently to all situations in the operating room.
- Assist with departmental work as assigned.
- MUST BE CERTIFIED Surgical Tech.
- Must have travel experience.
- Must have orthopedic experience and scrubbing experience.
- Experience with Davinci surgical system is required.
- Completion of a Certified Surgical Tech program preferred or current New York State LPN license eligible.
- BLS certification required.
- May be asked to precept new staff.
