Travel Nursing Job Details

• Location: Columbus, Ohio 43210
• Healthcare Setting: Acute Care Ortho Trauma Unit (Progressive Care)
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Start Date: January 5, 2026
• End Date: April 6, 2026
• Shift: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts per week (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1940 - $1990
• Patient Ratio: 1:4
• Float: May be required to float to other hospital units

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg Telemetry nursing experience
• Active RN license (compact or Ohio state nursing license required)
• Graduate of an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program
• BLS certification (required)
• IV certification (required)
• EPIC charting experience (required)
• ACLS certification (preferred)
• Previous charge nurse or Trauma Level I experience (preferred)
• Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only)
• Two professional references (one from a manager/director or supervisor)

Nursing Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult and geriatric patients with trauma, TBI, fractures, head injury, and post-surgical needs
• Perform IV starts, medication administration, and patient monitoring
• Interpret and manage telemetry, arterial blood gases, and dysrhythmias
• Manage central lines, chest tubes, surgical drains, and wound care
• Educate patients and families on care plans and discharge instructions
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including PT, RT, pharmacy, and social services
• Float to other hospital units as needed
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation using EPIC electronic health records
