Job DescriptionThe Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for maintaining the delivery of quality care by ensuring adherence to the nursing care plan. The RN will supervise Licensed Practical Nurses, Certified Nursing Assistants, and orientees, while prioritizing both patient and employee safety.
Responsibilities- Conduct nursing assessments within 8 hours of patient admission and develop individualized care plans.
- Identify teaching needs and goals for patients and families based on nursing assessments.
- Provide timely patient information and status updates at team conferences.
- Participate in patient rehabilitation programs and ensure quality direct care.
- Initiate discharge planning and patient education on admission.
- Communicate any changes in patient status to support continuity of care.
- Direct and supervise ancillary nursing personnel, ensuring safe practices.
- Contribute to a positive work environment through effective communication and team-building activities.
- Assume charge responsibilities as requested after the orientation period.
- Engage in professional development and continuing education.
- BLS Certification required prior to first shift.
- ACLS Certification required prior to first shift (specific to certain locations).
- Minimum of two (2) years of bedside clinical experience required.
