Responsibilities
Ascension St. Agnes is looking for a Physician Assistant for our Orthopedic Surgery.
This is a great opportunity for the right candidate to partner with Ascension St. Agnes to provide medical services to patients.
Position Highlights:
- Inpatient Orthopedic Surgery with occasional general surgery cross coverage in the operating room when needed. Orthopedic coverage will include inpatient rounding, consults, ED procedures, operating room assisting.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct diagnostic, therapeutic, and preventive health care services under the supervision of a physician.
- Obtain patient history and perform assessment. Order, perform and interpret diagnostic procedures.
- Provide and document direct treatment and management of health conditions.
- Provide counseling and education of patients and their families/caregivers concerning preventative health, treatment options and community resources.
- Perform preventative health assessments, screening, immunizations and care.
Requirements
Licensure / Certification / Registration:
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
- Physician Assistant credentialed from the Maryland Board of Physicians obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. Verified by local Credentialing Office.
- Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
Education:
- Graduate of accredited Physician Assistant program. Master's degree preferred.
Work Experience:
- 1 year of experience preferred.
