The role involves working in outpatient and hospital settings with responsibilities including chemotherapy administration and coordination with support staff. An award-winning community hospital is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Hematology/Oncology physician for the second largest cancer center in Western Pennsylvania. Competitive compensation, comprehensive benefits offered. Experienced hematology/oncology physician preferred, but new fellowship graduates will be considered. Ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be self-motivated and willing to work closely with established support staff in the outpatient and hospital setting, including infusion and chemotherapy treatments. Must have experience with electronic medical records (EMR).Candidate will be joining a multi-disciplinary team of physicians, surgeons, radiologists, radiation therapists, pathologists, physical therapists and support staff that oversee the complete treatment plans of our patients at the Regional Cancer Center. In the Medical Oncology department this includes in-house laboratory service with department phlebotomists and on-site nutritional counseling, as well as access to an on-site pharmacy staffed with a full-time pharmacist. The Regional Cancer Center is accredited with the American Cancer Society; the American College of Radiology, as well as the American College of Radiology (Committee on Mammography); the Association of Community Cancer Centers; and the American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer as a Community Hospital Comprehensive Cancer Program. As a Commission on Cancer accredited cancer program, the Regional Cancer Center has demonstrated an important commitment to providing all patients with access to services they need from diagnosis through treatment, rehabilitation and survivorship care.
