Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position with night shifts and every other weekend requirements.

Responsibilities

• Work in a Med/Surg Telemetry unit with ER border patients
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (19:00-07:30)
• Patient ratios are 1:5 on nights and 1:4 on weekends
• Wide range of diagnoses excluding critical care patients
• Every other weekend and holiday coverage required as scheduled
• Floating may be required within the Med/Surg Tele specialty
• No on-call responsibilities
• Navy blue scrubs required
• Care for patients assigned to ER border area supporting multiple departments
• Must be prepared to provide coverage for scheduled holidays as assigned
• May work with a variety of medical and surgical patient types
• Collaborate within a supportive hospital team environment

Requirements

• Active RN license for MD or compact state
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience
• Current BLS and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certifications required
• Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) certification required
• ACLS certification preferred
• First-time travelers with strong experience are accepted
