The University of Iowa's Division of General Internal Medicine is seeking board-certified or eligible internal medicine physicians to provide comprehensive primary care in a community-based setting. Responsibilities include diagnosing and managing acute and chronic conditions, conducting preventive care, and coordinating with specialists as needed. The Division of General Internal Medicine within the Department of Internal Medicine at the University of Iowa is adding BC/BE Internists to their community-based practice located at Heartland Drive in Coralville. The Division is seeking faculty members for appointment on the clinical track at the rank of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor. Appointment to the rank of Instructor (non-track) may also be considered. Applicants of all experience levels are encouraged to apply. The position is not eligible for employer-sponsored authorization-sponsorship for J1 status.

Responsibilities include:
- Diagnose and treat a wide range of acute and chronic medical conditions in adult patients.
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments, including physical exams and medical history reviews.
- Develop and implement personalized treatment plans and coordinate care with specialists as needed.
- Provide preventive care, including health screenings, vaccinations, and lifestyle counseling.
- Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.
- Balanced workload: 8 half-day clinics and 2 half-days of administrative time for full-time providers.

- Applicants must have a medical degree (or equivalent) and successful completion of an accredited residency program in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine.
- The selected candidate must be eligible for or already possess an active Iowa medical license, DEA and Controlled Substance License
- Candidates must be board-certified or board-eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine(or equivalent international certification). Those trained outside the U.S. with comparable qualifications may also be considered.
