Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a PACU position in Ohio with Level 1 Trauma experience and night shift availability.
Responsibilities
- Work in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) of a hospital
- Night shifts including two 12-hour shifts (19:00-07:30) and two 8-hour shifts (23:00-07:30)
- Expected to work 1-2 weekends per 4-week schedule
- Care for patients with telemetry and vent support needs
- Level 1 trauma hospital environment
- Must complete Ohio fingerprinting promptly upon contract signing
- Former employees are eligible if they have not worked at the facility within the past 6 months
- Current employees are not eligible for a travel assignment at Ohio State University hospital locations
- Locals are accepted at the same rate as travelers
- All requested time off must be provided during the application process
- First time travelers are welcome to apply
Requirements
- Active OH or compact RN license in hand at time of consideration
- Current certifications in ACLS, BLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
- Level 1 trauma experience required
- Experience with telemetry monitoring and ventilator support required
- Education from an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program required
- Two professional references required, with at least one from a manager, director, or supervisor
