This position is for a licensed Physiatrist specializing in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation at a multi-location healthcare organization in New York and surrounding areas. The role involves evaluating patients, developing customized treatment plans, prescribing therapy, and performing medical procedures to manage pain and improve function. The schedule is Monday to Friday with flexible hours and no on-call duties, serving patients with personal injury, workers' compensation, and other needs.
A specialty healthcare organization that operates 20+ medical practices throughout the Manhattan, Queens, Brooklyn, Long Island, Upstate NY, NJ and CT. All practices specialize in the area of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation. They are currently seeking a licensed Physiatrist for an outpatient practice. About the Opportunity: Specialty: Physiatrist Schedule: Monday to Friday Hours: Flexible Schedule Options Available Patient Population: Personal Injury, Workers' Comp, No Fault, Commercial, etc. On-Call- None! Responsibilities: The Physiatrist will be responsible for Conducting comprehensive assessments of patients to understand their medical history, current condition, and functional limitations Developing individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient's needs and goals Prescribing and overseeing various forms of rehabilitation therapy, including physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy Recommending and performing various medical procedures, such as trigger point injections, soft tissue, and joint injections to treat pain and improve physical functioning Engage in research to advance the field's understanding of rehabilitation techniques, interventional procedures, and outcomes for patients with disabilities or chronic conditions Perform other duties, as needed Qualifications: Licensed to practice Medicine in New York Doctor of Medicine (MD) or a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree 3+ years internship/residency training Board Eligible / Certified in Physical medicine and Rehabilitation or Neurology
