American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist with at least 2 years of experience and an active BLS certification for an acute care setting.
Responsibilities- Work in acute inpatient, outpatient, swing bed, assisted living, and long-term care/skilled nursing settings
- Typical caseload is 6-8 patients per day, depending on department needs
- Treat diverse diagnoses including post-surgical, orthopedic, neurologic, sports medicine, and complex medical cases
- May be required to float between inpatient, outpatient, assisted living, and LTC/skilled facilities, sometimes seeing patients in multiple areas in a single day
- Team consists of 3 PTs, 1 PTA, 1 COTA, 1 OT, and 1 SLP
- EPIC EMR is used; experience preferred
- Work schedule consists of five 8-hour day shifts per week with flexible start times between 0700-0900
- Occasional weekend shifts may be required; no holiday shifts
- Primary responsibilities include evaluating and treating patients across multiple care settings within the hospital and affiliated sites
- Expected to reach full patient load and productivity by the second week after department orientation
- Expected productivity is 75%
- Department orientation is provided by the Director of Rehab and typically lasts one week
- Dress code allows any color scrubs or business casual attire
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- 30-mile radius rule applies for eligibility
- Active PT license required; license required if applicable
- Current BLS certification required
- Minimum 2 years of recent PT experience, exclusive of clinical rotations
- Preferred experience in long-term care and skilled nursing settings
- Preferred experience with post-op and long-term recovery therapy
- EPIC EMR experience preferred
