Job Description
American Traveler is seeking a Mammography Technologist with at least 2 years of diagnostic and screening mammography experience for an acute outpatient imaging setting.
Responsibilities
- Position is in an acute outpatient imaging center covering mammography
- May float among four outpatient breast imaging centers within 15 minutes of each other
- Day shifts, 4x10s from 07:15 to 17:45 with occasional Saturday shifts per contract needs
- Average of 18 mammograms performed daily
- Procedures include diagnostic and screening mammography, with wire localization and biopsy as needed
- Equipment includes Hologic, DEXA (GE), PACS-Sectra, EPIC, and Penrad mammography EMR
- Radiologist on site for all contrast and procedure examinations
- No IV starts required
- No call or holiday requirements
- Responsibilities include performing both screening and diagnostic mammograms, wire localization, and participating in biopsy procedures
- Radiology supervisor and lead tech support available at each location
- Prior DEXA experience is a plus
- Assignment location will be provided in advance of each shift
- 12 hours of orientation will be provided
- Scrubs/dress code information will be supplied prior to start
- May be required to float between local centers per assignment needs
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years experience in diagnostic and screening mammography
- Active ARRT (Mammography) and BLS certifications required
- COVID vaccine required
- Experience with Hologic, DEXA, and outpatient imaging equipment preferred
- Familiarity with EPIC, PACS-Sectra, and Penrad systems preferred
- License required if applicable
- Copy of driver's license required for consideration
- Must provide two professional references: one supervisor from the last 12 months, and one peer or supervisor from the last 3 years
