What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities in a healthcare environment.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
• Conduct regular and random patrols, both inside the facility and around the perimeter, to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or security-related concerns.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and other critical areas within the healthcare location to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious behavior.
• Assist with controlling access to restricted areas and verifying identification as required by site-specific protocols.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with staff, patients, and visitors, providing information and assistance as needed.
• Prepare detailed and accurate reports on incidents, observations, and daily activities to support site operations.
• Collaborate with law enforcement and emergency responders as directed during incidents and/or drills.
• Maintain awareness of surroundings and promptly report security-related hazards or potential threats within the healthcare environment.

Minimum Requirements:

• An armed guard card or license is required.
• Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
• Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Access control or badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
