The Role at a glance:
TRIO Community Meals is seeking a reliable and hardworking commissary attendant to support daily kitchen and meal service operations. This role is essential to ensuring a clean, organized, and efficient workspace while assisting with food setup and packaging. The ideal candidate takes pride in maintaining high cleanliness standards and supporting the team in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.
What you'll be doing:

Set up the food service line prior to meal service

Assist with packaging and preparing meals for service or distribution

Break down and clean the hot line after service
-
Wash and sanitize kitchen equipment, utensils, and work areas

Take out trash, recycling, and cardboard boxes as needed

Stock supplies, food items, and service areas

Clean and maintain kitchen, storage, and service areas

Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health regulations

Assist with other porter or kitchen support duties as assigned
What we're looking for:
Qualifications

Previous kitchen, porter, or food service experience preferred but not required

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Strong attention to cleanliness, organization, and detail

Ability to follow instructions and work well as part of a team

Dependable, punctual, and hardworking
Physical Requirements

Ability to stand for extended periods

Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
