Title: Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) – Outpatient
Location: Leslie, MI
Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: Day shift – 5x8 hours (Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM)
Job ResponsibilitiesProvide outpatient physical therapy services under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist
Assist with therapeutic exercises, gait training, balance training, and functional mobility programs
Treat patients with orthopedic, neurologic, and post-operative conditions
Educate patients on proper use of assistive devices and home exercise programs
Document patient progress and treatment sessions using required charting systems
Travel locally within the area to provide therapy services as needed
Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to support patient rehabilitation goals
Minimum 1 year of experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant
BLS certification
Experience in outpatient therapy settings
Proficiency with documentation/charting systems
Strong knowledge of orthopedic and neurologic rehabilitation
Ability to work independently and travel locally for patient visits
First-time travelers accepted
Experience across multiple settings: outpatient clinic, acute care, rehabilitation hospital, or SNF
Familiarity with assistive devices and equipment including walkers, crutches, gait belts, prosthetics, and slings
Experience treating conditions such as total hip/knee replacements, spinal conditions, post-stroke rehab, Parkinson's disease, MS, TBI, and SCI
Willingness to consider a longer-term (1-year) contract
