Hematology Oncology opening in South Bend, IN - Full-time, permanent position - Seeking a dynamic high-caliber BC/BE Hematologist-Medical Oncologist - The candidate will join our Hematologist/Oncologists in an established medical oncology program - Qualified candidates must be excellent clinicians, have a very strong interest in providing superb care for patients and assist with the development and growth of the program - Full services including infusion and radiation therapies - Call (1 in 5 weeks) - First call support - Highly competitive salary (50% MGMA + productivity) - Each physician team consists of an RN, MA, and an NP - Strong patient load averaging 15-20 patients per day - The clinic utilizes Cerner EMR on the inpatient service as well as outpatientFacility: - Has a strong affiliation with the Mayo Clinic Care Network which affords our providers an opportunity to obtain a second opinion from Mayo without the patient visiting an outside practice - The Cancer program has many active clinical trials as a member of Alliance through its Mayo affiliation and is accredited by the CoC - An outstanding Radiation Oncology service complements a strong Medical Oncology service (nurse navigators, genetics counselor, social work and dietician) - The program is supported by superb medical (gastroenterology, infectious disease, pulmonology) and surgical (breast, colorectal surgery, general surgery, head and neck, neurosurgery, thoracic surgery, urology, orthopedic oncology) subspecialties, apheresis, diagnostic pathology and diagnostic and interventional radiology. - The cancer program has cancer specific tumor boards and includes two gynecologic oncologists, a MOHS surgeon and three pediatric hematologists-oncologists
