RN - ICU Float Pool
Job Details:
• Work 12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Every other weekend requirement
• Night shift preferred with block scheduling accommodation available
• Float between ICU, MedSurg Tele, and PCU across both campuses including inpatients holding in ED
• Nurse to patient ratios: PCU 1:4, MedSurg Tele 1:5-6
• Must pass dysrhythmia exam with 80% score within two attempts prior to contract signing
• Minimum 1 year ICU experience required
• Must be comfortable titrating drips including Heparin, Cardizem, Amiodarone, Nitro, Dopamine, Dobutamine, and Insulin
• Required to interpret cardiac rhythm strips
• Care for geriatric patients, orthopedic patients, post-procedural patients, post-MI, post-cardiac cath, and CABG post-op patients
• Work with RT equipment including CPAP, BiPAP, and heated high flow oxygen
• Unit assignments communicated via text message 2 hours prior to shift start
• May be placed on standby during shifts with excessive staffing
• Holiday participation required in permanent staff rotation
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS
• Dress code: Navy scrubs (effective October)
• 32-hour orientation including general hospital orientation, MedTele shift, and PCU shift
• Charting system: Cerner
• Travel between campuses 20-25 minutes apart
