Mental Health Counselor

Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Mental Health Counselor to provide high-quality, trauma-informed behavioral health services. This role focuses on comprehensive clinical care, including diagnostic assessments, individualized treatment planning, and both individual and group counseling.
This position is ideal for a licensed clinician who is passionate about supporting recovery, personal growth, and long-term wellness while working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct mental health evaluations using standardized tools and clinical interviews
- Provide individual, family, and group counseling services
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans
- Present clinical findings and recommendations verbally and in writing
- Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant clinical documentation
- Ensure adherence to HIPAA, ethical standards, and privacy regulations
- Comply with all local, state, federal, and contractual requirements
- Collaborate with internal teams and external service providers
Qualifications Education
- Master’s Degree in Counseling, Marriage & Family Therapy, or Social Work
Experience
- Prior clinical experience required
- Knowledge of substance use disorders, alcoholism, and ASAM criteria
- Familiarity with long-term recovery processes, relapse prevention, and post-treatment challenges
Licensure & Certification
- Active licensure as one of the following (or equivalent):
- LMHC, LMFT, LICSW, LMSW
- Mental Health Professional (MHP) per Washington Administrative Code (WAC)
- Valid professional license and registration number issued by the Washington State Department of Health
